Miami is a great place to live but not a paradise.
The truth is that the people that live here are very down-to-earth, but it is not all sunshine and rainbows. The climate is brutal and the city is also very small. There are so many misconceptions that are believed to be true about Miami, but this guide will answer the most common ones.

It's not. The average rent is $2,700 a month and that's with water, electricity, and cable TV included. If you're not worried about your food bills, you can probably live in Miami for a year and still pay less than a month's rent, as long as you drive a new car and don't use credit cards.
That's true, but it isn't true because the average rent here isn't that high. For example, in one of our test apartments in the South Beach area, the rent was just under 10,000 a month, so it would have been too much to live in one of those apartments. For the most part, Miami is a pretty nice place to live in,
especially in South Beach where most of the money comes from tourists.
The difference between Miami and Miami Beach is that Miami is a smaller city with less traffic (though that’s true) and is less crowded than Miami (though that’s true). In Miami, the city is more popular, and so is the area in Miami, which is a lot more crowded than Miami. The beach is very busy, so why not a beach in Miami? That’s where it gets even more confusing.
Miami Beach is Miami’s largest beach, but Miami is a much larger city. That’s because Miami Beach is a city with a lot more people than Miami itself. This is why people say Miami Beach is like a bigger city. Miami is a much smaller city in itself.
Miami Beach is just a city in an entire state, not a county.
The county of Miami is much larger than the city of Miami, so it is confusing to put Miami Beach out of order. Miami Beach is also a much smaller city than Miami itself. That's because Miami Beach is a city with a lot more people than Miami itself. In Miami, the city is more popular, so the beach is much more crowded than in Miami. Miami is not like a bigger city, however.
